No fluoride allergy: The authors of diatribes on the dangers of Fluoride use ambiguous & misleading terms to scare people about this important anti-cavity substance. Anecdotal reports from >50 yrs ago reported hypersensitive effects to 1 mg of fluoride. Fluoride supplements for children do not contain that much fluoride. The "hypersensitive" status refers to increased sensitivity not true allergy in these rare cases.

Sick or brown spots: Having too much topical Fluoride can make some throw up and that includes digesting fluoridated mouthwashes. If you have water from a well that has high Fluoride levels and are taking Fluoride containing vitamins (infants) then you could be getting too much Fluoride and develope brown spots on your teeth.  It is wise to try to have your water tested and watch the baby vitamins but necessary! earl.

Unclear question: If you are trying to poison yourself with toothpaste, it is useless exercise. When used as intended, tooth paste will not cause fluoride poisoning.

Neither: You don't have to either one after drinking liquids. Fluoride rinse should be done just once a day, preferably at night before bed.  Listerine can be used during the day after something noxious, such as onions or garlic, to help freshen your breath.
