Depends on the type. Some are benign others can be toxic and build up over time. Best to see PCP to find out  what caused it and get appropriate treatment before unforeseen complications come up.

sometimes a firm lump will appear somewhere on my forehead ( it doesnt hurt when i touch it) and then it disappears after awhile and randomly happens again. what could it be and is it severe?

: If there's no discoloration to suggest a hematoma from a burst blood vessel or itching to suggest hives, I can only think these are small benign inclusion cysts that spontaneously rupture and drain. Otherwise a physician or dermatologist would have to examine one of these lumps and advise you.

my 1 year baby fall on forehead while standing.he vomited after crying.a small lump appeared on forehead  with small scratch.now he is ok.what to do?

Hard to say: A kid who falls from their standing height is unlikely to have a concussion or significant head injury. Crying or a single episode of vomiting would be expected. Kids can be kept on their regular sleep schedule &amp; monitored. If the kid continues vomiting, seems disoriented or confused, she should be evaluated by a doc.

my 12 yr old daughter had hard lumps appear out of nowhere today on either side of her forehead she has no symptoms wshwhat could this be?

Soft tissue lesions: If your child has soft tissue lesions on her forehead that are rapidly growing please bring her to her MD for evaluation. At one point you list her at 2, another 12. There are distinct possibilities in each age group. Anything from an allergic reaction to soft tissue masses to infections are a possibility. If they are indurated hard masses they deserve immediate attention and possible biopsy.

Not necessary: Immediate crying is good.  Alteration of consciousness especially with vomiting is serious, and the er would be appropriate.  Watch him closely and treat him as a serious injury, but er does not appear to be necessary.

Did you tell docs?: That's a pretty unusual finding. Make sure the folks taking care of your mom know about what you saw. They might want to run some tests and watch for it or something related or akin to it recur. Hang in there.

Exam needed: A physician would have to examine you in order to diagnose the lump. Possibilities include a cyst or boney outgrowth of the skull which would not fluctuate in size or consistency.

Cyst : Most likely it is some kind of a cyst or it could be a lipoma or a fatty benign tumor for a peace of mi d see your PCP or have a live consult with one of our physician that might be able to see it and give you a proper advise
