Yes: A cough is likely a part of an upper respiratory tract infection, probably viral in nature. If the lump is inside your throat this could also be a strep tonsil infection. I would first recommend rest, plenty of fluids and you can also try gargling with salt water. If you get worse or not much better in a few days, I would seek  medical advice. All the best.

Need exam: I don't know but doubt that vomiting is related, but don't know.  Do you have trouble swallowing?  Your doctor will proably order a swallowing test to see where an obstruction in swallowing is located before deciding on the next step.  Someimes you can look down the throat and see the problem.  The swelling under the collar bone sounds like it could be a node.  See your doctor

Define tonsil ?: The general lay term for tonsils is the 2 palatine tonsils located on either side at the back of the throat. It is lymphatic tissue in a cluster. There is also lymphatic tissue in small clusters scattered from the swallow mechanism of the gut to the anus. A lump in your throat is more likely something unrelated to these but to acid reflux /irritation of the swallow tube.
