Lymph node: I think you should be checked for any mass under the chin. This may be a submandibular lymph node; however, you must have it checked to find out why it happpened.

Midline swelling?: If the lump is in the midline it may be remnant of thyroid development. It is known as thyroglossal cyst.If this be the case see your pediatrician and discuss the problem with him. If the lump is on the side of the neck it may be a lymph gland resulting from a old or upper respiratory infection. Again see your doctor for further evaluation.

See dentist: It sounds most like you have some pathology involving your teeth and gums, with secondary bleeding and lymph node swelling.  An outside chance of certain forms of leukemia.

is it normal to have a pea sized immovable lymph node under the chin in the neck? i have multiple other nodes risen throughout my body and my doctor felt them all, accept the one i'm my chin. i have mono. but could this lump still mean something?

: It is possible that it may be part of your mono. On your next visit to your MD make her/him feel it if it is still there.

Lump: Infected tooth.  Infected gums.  Swollen lymph node.  Thyroglossal duct cyst.  Neoplasm. Cyst.  Hundreds of other possibilities.  See a Dentist, Oral Surgeon, Physician, or ENT for examination, differential diagnosis, and appropriate treatment.

Please : Please go see an oral surgeon to have it examined and possibly biopsied. A differential diagnosis for this lesion cannot be done over the internet.

Infection: This description sounds like lymph nodes. It is common to get swollen lymph nodes during an infection. These will go away on their own. If they persists weeks to months after an infection, i suggest seeing your pcp for further examination.

Tests: You do not need any blood work or ultrasounds until you have seen an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor.
