Several issues: Your chest may be hurting because of strain of muscles between your ribs due to coughing.  The tiny lymph nodes are probably normal and unless they enlarge, change consistency, become tender or increase in number are not likely to cause problems.  Muscle aches can signal a host of illnesses, or simply be post-exercise.  Need more details.

Probable Lymph Node: It's probably a small lymph node just doing it's job. Keep track of it and check with your primary doctor.

i have a pain on the left side of my chest that  really hurts for a  minute when i lay flat on my back.., not sure if  it is a strained muscle, but i also have a lump in my armpit that my doctor said was a tendon...please advise?

Second opinion: There are no tendons in the armpit. You could have an enlarged lymph node, which should be cause for concern. You should get a second opinion.

Pinched nerve: If you still have concerns about your breast, consult a breast surgeon for evaluation and advice. A pinched nerve in the armpit shouldn't cause chest and back pain, but one in the upper back vertebra could. If symptoms persist get an opinion from an orthopedic specialist.

Probably not from C7: C7 cervical nerve root innervates the muscles/skins of the back of your arm--triceps, back of forearms, and 2nd&3rd fingers regions etc...So, if you have issues with the chest wall/muscles there, the thoracic nerves t1 through t5 are likely culprits.
