Spider bite: This is the classic description of a spider bite.  This will rapidly fade as the kinds of spiders that will chomp on you in bed are not highly toxic.  Only if he somehow is highly allergic would this be a long term problem.

Unsure: Oral cancer is primarily started by irritation like putting tobacco in the same spot.  I am not sure that chewing on your cheek is associated with cancer.  The first sign of oral cancer is leukoplakia or a white plaque at the spot.

Hematoma: The lips are vascular meaning they have a high blood supply.  You have a hematoma which is a swelled bruise.  It will go away most likely without any problems.  Putting a hot pack on it will speed up the recovery.

i have had a painful and hard lump on my bottom lip for just under a week. it has not changed size etc and i suspect i have gotten it by biting my lip. i had another smaller one which has gone now but i'm still worried. what should i do? thanks!

Fibroma: Hello, it sounds like you have developed a fibroma from the trauma of biting your lip. Avoid further trauma as best as possible and visit your ENT physician. Sometimes a steroid injection can be given but reassurance and observation usually allows these to resolve without any further treatment needed.

Wound from bite: Lump inside bottom lip is likely wound from biting lip.  It should resolve within a few days.  Applying ice may help.
