Second opinion: What you described suggests an infected lymph gland and you may wish to see a different doctor.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

This could be: a simple infection of the hair follicles that coincidentally occurred on both sides, or something more chronically infected known as hidradentitis suppurativa. In either case, it needs evaluation. Your doctor will likely prescribe antibiotics, possibly after a culture is obtained. Depending on the severity of the infection, incision and drainage of the lumps may be necessary. Make an appointment!

Furuncle / Abscess: You may have caused irritation and a resulting infection in one of the hair follicles in the armpit.  This can progress to become an infected abscess or boil.  If it does not get better after a couple days, i would recommend you see your pcp for help.

Hydrosadenitis: Usually, inflammation of lymph nodes induce this type of pain. any infection on the upper extremity?
Other can be related to a rib and brachial nerve compression, or a cervical rib. it is fairly deep and when i press on it i feel pain and the pain radiates down my arm all the way to my hand. the pain feels like nerve pain
Heart failure (if underarm pain is due to heart attack)
•	Permanent loss of sensation
•	Permanent nerve damage (due to a pinched nerve), including paralysis
•	Pulmonary embolism (if deep venous thrombosis is present)
•	Severe discomfort or pain
•	Spread of cancer
