Yes: may need to sample the area ( biopsy )  to make sure is not a metastatic lesion (s)

a ct scan showed several scleretic bone lesions in the sacrum .. could this be normal?

Accepted Answer

Yes: This is not uncommon.  If you have no history of cancer, they are probably benign.  If you are worried, a bone scan could be done.  If negative, i wouldn't worry about them.

they have been watching my kidneys as i have cysts. my ct urogram results. l have lesion on sacrum. left kidney . enhancing solid lesion since 2017 now suspicious for renal cell carcinoma. less than 5mm parenchymal lesions overlying both kidneys?

Back pain.: This is  a diagnosis whereby, the pain is in the low back region primarily. Its cause is from the inflammation of the small facet joints on both sides of low back vertebral column. The pain can be severe and will commonly increase when the back is extended.

my lumbo-sacral  vertebrae and hip joints pain me while standing and walking. what do i have? no history of  trauma .

Arthritis: This is a very common problem.  Osteoarthritis of your hips, or degenerative disc disease (spondylosis) of your spine are the most likely causes.  Exercise to strengthen your back muscles might help.  Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen or Naproxen might help.  If this has been bothering you for more than a few weeks, see your doctor.

is a thoraco-lumbar spine ap&lat and lumbo-sacral spine ap&lat is also a chest xray?? if not whats the diff??

Accepted Answer

It is not: a chest xray.  The spine films use a narrower(collimated) xray beam so only the region of the spine is included.  The part of the lungs next to the thoracic spine may be visualized, but most of the lungs and other structures of the chest wouldn't be seen.  Also, the technique used for the spine is optimized to see bony structures, not lung tissue.

what causes sacral swelling?

Sacral swelling: Swelling in this area is difficult to predict. It could be a pilonidal cyst or a lipoma or an abscess or a malignancy . I would recommend a referral to see a general surgeon who would be able to take your history and examine you and make the diagnosis.
