feeling slight pain in left side waist area (since 2 days) when i get up from a sitting position. goes away on its own. should i be concerned?

No: no unless it is associated with other symptoms like fever ,chills ,anorexia, and vomiting .if pain persisted or becomes worst see a doctor.

i have a consistent pain in my lower back on the left side. hurts the most when changing positions from sitting to standing. meds don't work. help?

Musculoskeletal: The symptoms are seen most often with a musculoskeletal strain. You may have done something to overwork those muscles recently. Kidney stones can also cause problems as can herniation of the disc in the back. If the symptoms do not improve after several days then you should see your dr. There are many other causes of pain and that should be evaluated if it doesn't resolve.

when sitting in a chair for over 10 minutes i get a pain in my lower left side of my  back , this is the only area i receive pain it's very uncomfortable?

Sciatica: This could be multiple things.  Ranging from sciatica and slipped intervertebral disc to muscle spasm.  Probably would be best to see your primary provider about this if it continues longer than a week.

Consider: Visiting your regular doctor. You could get a cardiogram to see the electric wiring of the heart, an echocardiogram to see the hearts function and the flow of blood.

Your spleen: Sits prominently on that side of the ribs. You could have an enlarged spleen (splenomegaly) from different causes such as tumor and trauma. It could be an external mass like a skin benign tumor or bone cyst pressuring the tissue underneath. It could be left sided colon having same issues as the spleen above.

i notice a grinding sound in lower back when twisting or leaning to one side. it only seems to be when i turn to my left, mainly when sitting. no pain?

Back issue: Back sounds are subjective. If you are in in no pain and your back function is not impaired, i would not worry.

Sounds benign: From a very minimal description your symptom seems quite benign (at least from a neurological point of view). However if this is something brand-new or even if not ; you can reproduce the feeling in a specific position over and over then, a visit to your doctor may help  figure out what it is. My bet is that you will find this thing disappear  as mysteriously as it came on. Good luck.

Groin pain: This may be a ghost to chase. Causes may range from groin hernia, more common in males to groin pull (usually there is history of groin injury). I've had patients with unidentified groin pain despite comprehensive work up. I suspect some anatomical variants of the area that predispose certain folks to having groin pain related to position change. But before you do need a work up done.

Position: Any pain related to position sounds like musculo-skeletal in origin, not visceral.  So you might want to try looser clothing, change chair position, that sort of thing.  Area under the left rib cage means area of stomach, pancreas, spleen, diaphragm, so if it persists, these things need to be looked at.  Also, it could be atypical angina, pain from heart muscle not getting enough oxygen.
