No.: Osteopenia is simply a decrease in bone mineralization, which could progress to osteoporosis and associated increased fracture risk. Neither condition is painful by itself.

Kind of: Another way to say it perhaps is that there are conditions in the spine that can cause pain in the tailbone, back, and leg.  Not so much that one pain causes the other, but rather that they can potentially have the same source.  Don't hesitate to be seen for a specific diagnosis.

Varies: What it completely comes down to is making the specific diagnosis of the condition that is causing your pain.  It is only with that done, that you will know the options you have.  If you aren't getting the answers you need, you might consider a second opinion.

Small but definite -: Chance with your hx of prostate cancer. 
See your orthopod to get investigated.  I am sure your oncologist must be following you if its only been 2 yrs since you had radiation.
I am sure he (she) can also tell you.
Prostate cancers are generally amenable to radiation treatments and pts do very well.
So check with your rad, oncologist ; an orthopod, as early DX means early treatment.

Here are some ...: Go to confirm no UTI, poor bladder emptying, etc. by physical exam + testing UA &amp; residual urine. As to managing the potential consequence from nerve compression affecting bladder nerve, work with Doc so to decide what and how. Wish i could....: There is a nobel prize for the doc who figures these out.  Low back pain often responds to continued low level activity , stretching, physical therapy, low dose pain relief  / non steroidals and time.  For the tail bone will need to sit on an inflatable donut or pad to take pressure of the sacrum.

X-ray shows: Issues with bones. You can still have an issue with a nerve. I would suggest an MRI or EMG/NCV studies.

Hip pain: hip pain and lower back pain that shoots down the leg and shin is typical sciatica a pinched nerve in the gluteal muscle region.    Could be a slipped disc in your lower back at lower level. Should see a spine orthopedic physician or your primary care doc and have checked out.

See your doctor: Have your doctor examine you to find the cause of your pain. It may be a muscle sprain which will typically settle down in 2 weeks. You can also take tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain relief. If the pain persists, then x-rays or a scan may be considered. But your doctor can guide you best.
