Lactose intolerance?: Lactose breath testing (objective) or a clinical response to lactase enzyme supplements ;/or milk avoidance (subjective decline in the gassiness ; diarrhea associated with ingesting lactose) may clarify your concern. Some (particularly children) with suspected lactose intolerance however are intolerance to other milk components. Bleeding, weight loss, significant tenderness is not lactose intol.

Abdominal distress: Sharp lower abdominal pains occur with irritable bowel syndrome and spasms of the intestines. They are also caused by gas entrapment especially when bloating is noted as well. Drinking hot water and applying hot water bottle helps break down the gas enabling it to be passed. Taking simethicone 1/2 hour after a meal prevents gas build up. A gastroenterologist is best to evaluate and advise you.

An exam by a primary care doctor can help figure things out. Pain in the right upper abdomen can be due to gallstones. Pain in the right lower abdomen can be appendicitis. Stomach flu, food poisoning, other infections, etc., can also cause pain.
