i have recently quit smoking. i have a very low respiration stamina - tired after 10 minutes of jog. are there any methods to improve my lung's stamina?

No miracle cure.: Daily progressive exercise. 30 minutes every day - find something that you really like that makes you short of breath - basketball, jogging, tennis, etc.  If it's not fun you may not continue with it....

Low oxygen?: You mean Oxygen saturation measured at the tip of the finger?. The normal is &gt; 95 %, at the sea level.. Less to about 93-94 ia acceptable. &lt; than 90 is abnormal,. The only benign cause for low O2 sat. is at high altitude, such as in mountain climbers, they carry compressed O2.. Indians from the Altiplano in Bolivia have an Hb of 18-19 %, while at the sea level is 14-13%. 
Several factors are needed to continuously supply the cells and tissues in your 	body with oxygen:
	There must be enough oxygen in the air you are breathing
	Your lungs must be able to inhale the oxygen-containing air — and exhale 	carbon dioxide
Your bloodstream must be able to circulate blood to your lungs, take up the oxygen and carry it throughout your body
A problem with any of these factors — for example, high altitude, asthma or heart disease — might result in hypoxemia, particularly under more extreme conditions, such as exercise or illness. When your blood oxygen falls below a certain level, you might experience shortness of breath, headache, and confusion or restlessness.
Common causes of hypoxemia include:
Anemia
ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome)
Asthma
Congenital heart defects in children
COPD Chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases
Emphysema
Interstitial lung disease
Medications, such as certain narcotics and anesthetics, that depress breathing
Pneumonia
Pneumothorax (collapsed lung)
Pulmonary edema
Pulmonary embolism (blood clot in an artery in the lung)
Pulmonary fibrosis
Sleep apnea

Suppress CNS: The action of benzodiazepines at the level of the Central Nervous System. Typically, they shouldn't affect respiration function in normal folks at very low doses BUT still they have the potential to affect some people adversely under certain conditions (age, other medications being taken, poor breathing to begin with) and so no matter whether doses are low or otherwise caution is always advised.

Ativan (lorazepam) : Ativan, (lorazepam) a sedative benzodiazepine, could reduce the respiratory rate, particularly if in combination with opiates, alcohol, other sedatives, and in cases of respiratory disease like copd, breathing related sleep disorders like sleep apnea. At at a dose of 1 mg twice a day, it is unusual to cause strong effects but it could if other circumstances are present.

Anxiety: Anxiety attacks are common in people with mvp.  It is important to control your breathing and try to calm down,  xanax (alprazolam) is a good medication for anxiety.  See your doctor and discuss treatments.

B12: Having a low B12 level may mean you have pernicious anemia. The anemia in turn can give you a rapid heart beat and rapid breathing. See your doctor or evaluation.
