Yep: That's a side effect of depoprovera- as is wt gain and depression. Would consider getting an office sterilization with essure or adianna - or tell your spouse its time to man-up and get it done.  As you get into 40's ovarian function tends to diminish so estrogen levels that were already low b/c of Depo-Provera will get worse.

i've been off the depo-provera shot for six months and have only had 2 shots. another thing is i am still a virgin. is my chances of becoming pregnant low now?

No.: Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) is reversible and should not have long term effects on your ability to get pregnant in the future. Hope this helps!

Probably: Giving testosterone by depot injections can help, but at your young age, if that is the only treatment you get, your testicles will start to produce even less testosterone and then they will atrophy...Shrink and quit working. A combination of meds that stimulate the testes plus testosterone will probably work better.

For a bit: It may take upto 6 months for spotting to resolve, usually does spontaneously . If bleeding becomes heavy then low dose will help.

It's : It's usual to not menstruate when on depoprovera. If you're still worried about pregnancy you could do a home pregnancy test. If you're not more than a few weeks late for the shot pregnancy is unlikely. When you "go off" Depo-Provera the periods may be irregular or late for several more months.

Yes: Facial hair and decreased sex drive can both be side effects of the Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) shot but the shot is extremely effective at preventing pregnancy.  There are ways of dealing with the side effects but if they are intolerable, see your doctor to discuss alternative forms of birth control.

Well, among other: Things i think u have a bladder infection.  It would explain a lot of the cramping.  The breast soreness is related to changing hormones.  You had a buffer with the depo-provera because your ovaries were not producing estrogen.  The leg pain may be referred from the bladder or uterus but if u have a swollen leg and difficulty walking it could be a blood clot. That's unlikely but i would see doc.

Depends: Depends in how many shots/how long you've been using it.  Could be as long as a year or so for longtime users.  Not a problem except for those who want to get pregnant.
