Accepted Answer

Nothing: If the results are low, without any symptoms then they do not mean anything.  The igg level needs to be rechecked in 4-8 weeks however.  What is the Nitric Oxide level measured from?  Is it from a breathing test? If so low levels indicate little or no airway inflammation.

i got hsv 1 igg of 61.3 what is that mean (61.3) can my immunity prevents virus from spreading to my wife and child? can this number mean i got it years ago?

: The numerical result means nothing except that it's positive, meaning you have HSV1. It doesn't have any relation to duration of infection. There is no difference between a value of (say) 5, 15, 30, 61.3, or higher. Having HSV1 makes you a normal human:  most of the world's population has it. No big deal!

if i had chikenpox as a child, why would anyone need to be tested for varicella-zoster ab,igg ? the virus is already in your system. i tested positive

Just good practice: Maybe your doctor tested you because she suspected herpes zoster (shingles), which is a reactivation of VZV, the chickenpox virus. Antibody lab testing is more reliable than patient history in knowing for sure that someone is carrying VZV and that shingles is possible. Not that she didn't trust your history, but still more accurate. Ask the doctor directly if this doesn't seem to explain it.

just recently diagnosed w/hsv 2, igg 12.20. i also have chronic10yrs anal fissure. could the fissure be herpes and could i have passed it to my child?

Herpes: It is possible that chronic anal fissures could have been confused with recurrent herpes outbreaks. They can look similar but pretty easy to figure out the difference. A herpes culture can be done the next time the anal fissure flares up. Herpes can be passed to during vaginal delivery only if there is active viral shedding at the time of delivery. Not likely if baby has shown no signs.

Good news: That means she has protective antibody against rubella. She'd be fine as long as rubella infection is concerned.

No: You would test positive for varicella igg. But if you've ever had a cold sore, that could cause a positive herpes simplex test.

Accepted Answer

Not from these germs: There is no single test that can assure you will not have some complication during pregnancy. These results mean these germs will not harm your baby if you have a chance exposure.

Prior exposure: Positive IGG on both rubella and CMV are indication of you had that infection in the past and got immunity to those. This should not be a hindrance in anyway for your future pregannacies

: Don't overreact. Around half of all adults in the US (up to 90% in some countries) test IgG positive for HSV1, mostly oral. It is rarely transmitted in absence of an obvious outbreak. Half of all parents are in your shoes, and their kids don't catch HSV1 from them! Many kids get oral herpes (you probably were infected as a child), mostly from other young kids in school etc, not from their parents.

Low IgG: Does he have recurrant infections of the respiratory or urinary system? If he does then the low igg may be important. Ask your doctor to rule out a subclass deficiency or common variable immunodeficiency syndrome.
