is it normal to have a sinus pain when sneezing?

Not generally: The pain usually occurs as a result of a pressure differential between your nose and the sinus cavity, suggesting there may be partial blockage of the sinus drainage.  Use of a netti pot, other sinus irrigation or a decongestant might be helpful.  If this does not work, see your local ENT doctor.

i have been suffering from severe sinus  allergies which would think seasonal but now litterly all year round. i sneeze all the time. have taken deselex and allerway but this doesn't help much. please advise if i can take anything stronger and longer?

Immunotherapy?: Have you considered getting tested for what you are allergic. Immunotherapy (allergy shots) can be very effective.

Probably but watch: Sinus conditions may play a role but if symptoms persist or worsen see your primary doctor or ophthalmologist.

Yes: Rhinoplasty surgery (nose job) can certainly be performed in sinus sufferers. Surgical alteration of the external nose should not materially alter a concurrent sinus condition. It is noteworthy that rhinoplasty can actually be combined with endoscopic sinus surgery. And in fact, rhinoplasty surgery is not uncommonly combined with the surgical correction of the nasal septum and turbinate bones too.

i've had sneezing sinus drainage was green now clear with blood for 9 days. today i have a headache with loss of taste. how long should this last?

Time to see your doc: Upper respiratory symptoms lasting longer than 10 days should be evaluated please.

how do i relive sinus/nasal pain from a blocked sneeze? it takes between a few minutes to a couple hours for the pressure to come out, why is that?

Swelling: Likely part of what made you sneeze is swelling in your nasal passages / sinuses. So when you stifled the sneeze, it increased pressure in sinus(-es) which is trapped there temporarily, causing discomfort. Could try pseudoephedrine (from pharmacist) or nasal spray like Afrin (for BRIEF use--2-3 days max) to reduce swelling. If continues, see Dr for nasal steroid or antihistamine recc., depending.

Depends: You have a URI involving your sinus.........depending on duration you can take Mucinex DM, Nasonex (mometasone) and antibiotic.

: The nasal membranes have a bountiful supply of small capillaries near the surface. These are often irritated during any sinus infection and easily break/leak with forceful sneezes. They selfheal over time.

Most likely underlying analogy.: There are plenty of over-the-counter allergy medications that might be beneficial. If you have tried the over-the-counter medications, then it is time to go see your doctor and get something a little stronger such as either a nasal steroid or a medication like Singulair (montelukast) to help control the allergic symptoms. If it is really intolerable you may consider visiting an allergist for allergy testing and desensitization.

having pain on top of head when i cough, sneeze, bend over or laugh. sinus xray is normal. no stuffiness or cold present. what could this be?
