i limit my food intake to two thousand calories, try to eat as healthy as possible and exercise three to five days a week. however, i can not get below 160 pounds at 56. how, can i change my lifestyle to lose the extra weight?

: You need to reduce your food intake to no more than 1200 calories. This will have to be a long term change otherwise you will lose weight and gain it back up as soon as you slacken on your food intake.
For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

Try avoiding Carbs: An Atkins or South Beach type of diet, avoiding Carbohydrates and eating more protein and fats for a month may help to shed away the extra pounds!
Even better with exercise like walking or jogging!

can being underweight and missing a few periods cause problems with ovarian cysts? went from roughly 95 to 82 pounds in five months and have spotting but no period for two months. found a swollen lump near my left hip close to an ovary. what do i do?

: Go see a doc. Undernutrition causes the body to go into a starvation mode, reducing optional systems like reproduction. Ovarian egg release suspends, and the organ pauses function. The cause of your lump is unknown and should be evaluated by your doc. Continue down this path and you may die by the end of the year.

my five year ran 102.0 for two days but felt fine. some coughing. now she's fussy with 97.3 temp? what is going on?

Fussiness: At 102 she was incubating an infection, most probably a virus.Now she may be fussy because she may have developed an ear infection or other malady that is making her uncomfortable because of the viral infection.

my son  has strep been on meds for three days he is 70 pounds and only taking 6.5 mg two times a day of amoxillican 400 mg and he still not better?

Please start over: No one would prescribe 6.5 mg (less than 1/10 of a milliliter) of this med for any infection.Please review your question and make any needed corrections. Dealing with these odd numbers and units of measure is frustrating but accuracy is important.

No: If you had a period than it is very highly unlikely that you are pregnant.

However, you can obtain a home pregnancy test if you are concerned about pregnancy

took a plan b pill, had light bleeding five days later for a wk and now a month later same thing but for two days. is this normal?

Yes: Depending on where you were at in your cycle when you took plan b, you may have some irregular bleeding following that.  If you want a normal cycle and are interested in pregnancy prevention a birth control pill can help for both accounts.  Best of luck.

No, not normal: There are a variety of possibilities for irregular bleeding which is hard to address w/o more details; some common reasons are varying hormone levels, seen in times of stress, fluctuating weight, or irregularly taken birth control pills.  There are other reasons as well; if you are irregular for another month, seek a medical exam.
