am going on a diet. one meal a day to loose weight. in 3 days i lost 10 pounds. with lots of 0 calories of vitamin water. is this healthy?

Not particularly: The water is ok/good.
Rapid loss of weight without some use of muscles will tend to result in loss of muscle as much/more than fat.
It's hard to have a sustained result if you do habits that you aren't going to keep doing.

ALso, a diabetic will have metabolism problems with major fasting (hypoglycemia, acidosis, etc.)

Medical evaluation: Before focusing on diet alone, you should be evaluated by a physician to make sure that you don't have an underlying medical condition, such as hyperthyroidism, that is leading to weight loss.  Missing meals may be a sign of poor appetite, which should also be addressed.

This is NG: Eat foods that are nutrient dense (like meat, fish, poultry, eggs, cheese, low starch vegatables and water) avoid foods that are not nutrient dense (like starches and sugars, including fruit)
nutrient dense foods will increase your basal metabolic rate. On the other hand, starches and sugars impair thyroid metabolism via affects on your liver (which helps activate thyroid hormone).

Sure a little: Brief periods of starvation is not the way to go for weight loss. It is better to lose over time. To lose weight insure that calories burned &gt; calories consumed. Drink at least 8  - 8 oz glasses of water per day.  Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables ; 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol ; junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic ; weight&gt;.

May be: Some weight loss in that time. Easiest way (usually) is get rid of sugar and sweeteners in all their forms and eat god made food.

Not really: But it is not a helpful way to try to lose weight. At 63 walking, swimming, gentle jogging, particularly before breakfast, is a good idea. Of course, as we all know, diet is the most importan. I lost 11 pounds simply by stopping all forms of sugar and i never take any form of sweeteners. It is a paradox that diet drinks actually result in weight gain in some because they  affect the hypothalamus.

Depends: This depends on how your body is tolerating the exercise.  If you are not causing injury or in any pain and you are feeling well, then exercise, especially walking which usually low impact, is good.

Best bet: Is to stop all forms of sugar and sweeteners. I easily lost 11 pouhds in a short time. Otherwise, you can do notrhing in that short time.
