Diet: Orange color in the stool is almost always related to something in the diet, or a medication that was ingested. If your stools turn red or black, see your doctor immediately

Anal discharge: Could just be inflamed hemorrhoids, but at age 44, you should see a colon &amp; rectal specialist for further evaluation. Most likely that evaluation would be an office exam to check the hemorrhoids, check the stool for occult blood and probably colonoscopy.

Possible Keriorrhea: Not sure but this may be due to consumption of indigestible wax esters found in fish or oil. If you had eaten fish or fish oil.

Greasy : Greasy stools make us think about fat malabsorption which means that your intestines are not absorbing fat molecules as well as they should.  Reasons for this include:
- lack of bile acids from gall bladder removal, liver damage, or medications that prevent fat absorption  
- pancreatic enzyme defects 
- defective cells in the mucosa of your intestines.

With your history of cancer and diverticulitis, you should call your doctor to discuss your symptoms.  It may be as simple as a previous procedure you've had or medications you are on.  Someone who is familiar with your medical history will know whether it is a concerning symptom for you and whether you need further work up to discover the cause.  Good luck!

i have noticed a sort of brown orange color in the toilet bowel after a bowel movement its not in the stool but under it in bowl its also not on tissue after wiping is it just where the poo has stained the bowl and mixed a bit with the water?

: It doesn't appear to be from blood in your stools. Carrots and some other veggies contain carotene which is orange. Also dyes in certain meds or supplements can cause this. Try to make note of what you ate 2 or 3 days earlier when you see these stains.

Need more info: In general, unusual bowel patterns pass without any reason for alarm.  Increasing your fluids and fiber intake will encourage regularity and "return to normal."  If you are having worsening abdominal pain or increasing numbers of unusual bms, I'd seek medical care.

: I would say it is not normal. But if you have had this for years off and on may be normal for you. Most likely gut virus and local Dr will know what is going around
