If you have stage iv, where is the disease? Is it in the bones or organs?
What other meds have you been on?If you're disease is controlled with hormone therapy (arimidex) and you are having side-effects, you should either take an alternative medicine to Arimidex (anastrozole) (famara or aromasin) or take meds to counter the side-effects.

Unlikely: Cough is not a known side effect of arimidex (anastrozole). I would like to know the reason for which you are taking arimidex (anastrozole). I doubt that you are taking it for breast cancer where it is one of 3 drugs called aromatase inhibitors, the other two have similar benefits yet are different drugs...So one of these drugs may be an option if you wanted to explore.

Arimidex (anastrozole) &amp; insomnia: Arimidex (anastrozole) can cause insomnia, and sleep problems while on the drug are quite common. If sleep problems produce daytime impairment (sleepiness etc.), then it may be appropriate to trial a sleeping pill to reverse the effects of the medication. Be sure to mention the symptom to the prescribing doctor and explore solutions.

For short-term use: Both of these drugs are prescribed to treat insomnia, and both warn to take at lowest dose for shortest time needed.  Long-term use increases risk of dependency and raising dosages increases risk of side effects.  Both warn that you must taper dose to discontinue after long term use, or risk serious side effects.  Consider CBT psychotherapy for insomnia,  more effective than relying on a pill!

does long term use of pvp-i solution cause serious side effects (e.g. organ damage - besides thyroid dysfunction)? i have used betadine for scalp folliculitis everyday for 2 years. i know its not recommended to use it for longer than 10 days?
