Bleeding.: No major issues, assuming it was antiseptic. Bleeding from muscle is the only major issue, and it should be minimal!

NO: Heparin does not dissolve clots. At therapeutic levels it prevents the  enlargement of the clot or others from forming. Time and other mechanisms resolve or "dissolve" the clot but often not completely.

Muscle weakness will resolve with time and can be accelerated by going to physical therapy/program.

can you have a bilaterial adrenal hemorrhage if you only have one adrenal gland . i understand it means 2 both sides but induced by heparin?

Does not add up: If you have only one adrenal, you cannot have bilateral adrenal hemorrhage, even you have hemorrhage on both sides of the body.

why warfarin used in long term treatment of deep venous thrombosis? why not heparin?

Oral administration.: Warfarin is available in an oral dose and is given on a daily basis. Its effects lasts 24 hours and takes about 72 hours to clear from your system. Heparin is given either intravenously or subcutaneously and requires dosing every 4 to 8 hours or continuously depending on the method of administration. Long term anticoagulation is easier and better tolerated with an oral medication.

For short-term use: Both of these drugs are prescribed to treat insomnia, and both warn to take at lowest dose for shortest time needed.  Long-term use increases risk of dependency and raising dosages increases risk of side effects.  Both warn that you must taper dose to discontinue after long term use, or risk serious side effects.  Consider CBT psychotherapy for insomnia,  more effective than relying on a pill!

does long term use of pvp-i solution cause serious side effects (e.g. organ damage - besides thyroid dysfunction)? i have used betadine for scalp folliculitis everyday for 2 years. i know its not recommended to use it for longer than 10 days?

Similar, minor diffe: The long term side effects are numerous depending on the individuals, duration, and dose.  Major ones: Osteoporosis, cataract, diabetes, hypertension, adrenal suppression (stop working altogether) . Some may have glaucoma. Weight gain at the belly and face, acne etc. Some immune suppression can be expect with high doses for months.
Prednisone has less sodium-retention effects (less low potassium)
