Lack of flow: If good collaterals have formed, symptoms of leg swelling and  pain may not occur or may only be mild. However, in some people collaterals do not get very large and can, 
therefore, not carry all the blood needed to drain the legs or arms; this then leads to chronic leg or arm swelling, pressure and pain.

what's the best way to heal a post thrombotic wound on the leg that doesn't close? little blood flow, even when compressed. is surgery recommended?

DVT and ulcer: A wound or ulcer on the leg/ankle associated with venous hypertension will be difficult to heal. These wounds require compression in addition to regular wound care. A venous and arterial insufficiency ultrasounds are helpful before the compression devices are used to assess for safety. Okay to ask for a referral to a wound care clinic.

i have post thrombotic leg. had multiple dvt & pe. am experiencing recurring leg cellulitis. 2nd time worse, staph a. why?  1st dvt 1992 - 34 yr old.

Cellulitis: This is most likely due to swelling of your leg use of compression hose will be helpful
Second each time you have an infection the lymph channels will be more stressed and that can also cause swelling
Swelling causes the skin to be under tension and more prone to repeat infections

a 27 yrs old male had dvt in iliac veins and legs,after few months of anticoagulant therapy,he still had residual dvt in his femoral veins,wasn't thrombolytic therapy a better option for this case?so as to prevent post thrombotic syndrome?

: Thrombolytic therapy is not commonly done for venous thrombosis except there is evidence of or risk for early limb ischemia due to massive DVT.

car accident caused fracture in left ankle. had dvt in that calf. a month on lovenox (enoxaparin). calf has spasms. causes? inmobility? post thrombotic syndrome?

Immobility, Mg: Muscle spasm is usually associated with nerve issues or electrolte abnormalities . Post phlebitis limb is normally a swollen area but not associate with muscle spasms.  Recommend, magnesium pills,maintain hydration,gentle stretching.

It depends: On your situation, your age, the reason for the procedure, how much of lengthen should done, it takes a long time and have certain complication, do not take that decision lightly .On other hand there is bone shorting surgery, which easer and less complicated. Good luck thanks.

This will determine the method of the treatment.
Any thing below 3/4 inches most likely dose not require treatment.

Sciatic pain: Could be pressure on the nerves supplying the muscles.  Sciatic nerve has branches supplying the area.

Accepted Answer

Evaluation needed: Leg length should be same as a child grows.  Asymmetric  growth should be promptly evaluated by a physician as the difference can worsen with time and growth.
