Skilled Care: A rehab facility will provide several types of skilled care. This usually includes therapy, from a physical therapist, occupational therapist and possibly speech therapist. This may be for 2-3 hours a day. It will also include skilled nursing care. Patients reside in such a facility anywhere from one week up to 3 weeks or longer, depending on their diagnosis.

what do i do if a doctor fired me from her practice then is the only doctor who rounds at my rehab facility?

Find another doctor : Every doctor has the right to fire a patient for any reason as long as reasonable notice (3-4 weeks) is given. It is not his responsibility to find you a new doctor but he may. He is responsible to care for you for any emergencies for the notice period. It is your responsibility to find a new doctor, inquire about covered doctors from your insurance company. The rehab facility has its own doctors.

See below: Social workers are a valuable member of the rehab team. They provide emotional support for the stress and anxiety often associated with an acute or chronic illness. They work with families. They can smooth the process of discharge to home. They can teach relaxation techniques and conduct one on one psychotherapy. We have had a social worker at our rehab facility since we opened.

Most rehabilitation facilities help people learn how to get and stay sober . Some also help people  uncover any underlying problems that could have been there before the drinking/drug use started, so those problems can be addressed in a healthier way.

Topical and air: If her thighs prevent air circulation, she may need to,position with legs spread open for a while each day to avoid maceration in the wound. I Assume she is on antibiotics, topical debrieding   agents like silver sulfadiazine are helpful as well. Be sure to address the cause for the wound initially,such as incontinence,  and remediate that as well

Rehab: They will help him get his strength back and make sure his balance good and give him correct techniques for mobilization. Length of stay depends on his situation but could be week or so.

Many scenarios: Amiodarone is a powerful anti arrhythmic having some beta blocker properties.  Carvedilol is a beta blocker without anti arrhythmic properties.  It also benefits people with heart failure (HF) &amp;/or coronary disease(CAD).  If someone has an arrhythmia and CAD, HF, or possibly just hypertension it's common to need both.  Combination can cause slow heart rate or low BP, among other side effects.

fianc given .250 digoxin for about 2 weeks b4 rehab facility contacted dr about  symptoms.weight loss, confusion, excess sleep..he still has some confusion after dose lowered to .125..will this improve?
