MRSA: Disseminated MRSA infections are the infections caused by strains of staph aureus that are resistant to the antibiotic methicillin and are not restricted to the original site of infection but have spread to different parts of the body. Hospital-acquired disseminated MRSA infections have occurred frequently in individuals with reduced immunity. However, community-acquired infections are increasing.

Yes: Any time you puncture the skin you risk an infection.  So always clean your hands before you stick it.

: This is the same question asked previously about chlamydia and the answer is the same. M. genitalium rarely infects the mouth or throat and urethral infection is only acquired by genital or anal sex.

Most likely ur: Symptoms are from ur local infection. U are worrying too much. U r already taking two antibiotics which will prevent sepsis. With sepsis, u will have higher temperature, feel weak etc. Follow up with ur dr for any concern. Go outside and have fun. Enjoy the fair weather and sunshine in phoenix at this time of the year before the scorching heat starts!

No: Generalized infections or systemic would not respond to local or topical antibiotics and should not be treated as such.

i went to my local pool & noticed days after i have small and medium sized red bumps on my shoulder starting at the back top of my shoulder down close to my armpit that are painful and itchy. just hoping its not a staph infection or serious?

: A physician or dermatologist would have to examine you to be certain of the diagnosis. Since this could be an outbreak of shingles I strongly recommend that you get examined and receive proper treatment for this eruption.

Never happened to me: In over 40 years I have never seen an infection at injection site. One can develop soreness in the area, but almost always mild and short lived.

Please: let your parents know about your possible urinary tract infection. Antibiotics are the tx and you will need a prescription from your doctor for this. Home remedies won't cure an UTI.

Carbapenem resistant: at 25, being young and healthy your risk is indeed minimal. stick to good hygiene (ie handwashing) and follow the hospital isolation policies if you'll be visiting again.

i received dental work with local anesthesia five days ago. i woke this am to pain and swelling at the site. could it be an infection?

It could be: But without knowing exactly what treatment was performed, and without being able to see you, how can anyone really tell? Why not call your treating dentist for a follow-up? They will have a better idea as to what may be needed to solve your problem.
