: For peace of mind consult a dermatologist for diagnosis and advice. There is a chain of lymph nodes just above and behind the collar bone. Lipomas tend to be somewhat movable and not rock hard.

It depends: A lipoma, a benign fatty tumor, has a characteristic feel.  It is squishy, rubbery, and moves  easily under the skin.  A doctor diagnoses a lipoma by feel, location, and absence of other symptoms.  If the lipoma doesn't grow and isn't causing symptoms, most doctors leave them alone.  If a lipoma grows or becomes painful, an ultrasound or biopsy might be needed.

Splint: A simple splint is all that is usually needed. It is called a figure of eight. It is a wrap that gpoes in front of each shoulder and crosses in the back and distracts the shoulders and the broken ends of the collar bone also.

They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react.  They shrink when all is well.
