Keep a diary:  food, drinks & toothpaste (flavors) could trigger an immune response.
Gastric reflux or sinus drainage could affect this lymph tissue also.  
Sleep breathing problems could be involved.

Yes: Just like any other standard soft tissue infection, appropriate antibiotics should lead to appropriate cure of the infection.
