Probably nail fungus: While a picture is definitely better than ta housand words, your description suggests nail fungus. You can get it checked at a local urgent care clinic for a more definitive diagnosis. In the meantime, put Vicks vaporub on it a couple of times daily for a week or so and see if it makes a difference. Feel better:)

Melanonychia.: The most common diagnosis is melanonychia which is benign hyperpigmentation of the nailbed in persons with dark skin color, and is a normal variant. But just to be safe, you should have a doctor examine your fingers to make sure there are no suspicious signs of melanoma. It's unlikely, but it's necessary to make sure since we can only give general advice in this section.

Splinters: These could be what doctors call "splinters" , but not the kind you are familiar with.  They could be small blood clots that got caught there after circulating around in the blood.  Could be a sign of heart valve problem.  You need to see a doctor about this.  Emergency  room not necessary if no other symptoms, i.e., chest pain, feverishness, shortness of breath, major fatigue, etc.

Yes: yes this could be Beau's line. You may have had some injury to the nail, or sometimes we see these with other systemic illnesses. However one nail involvement would suggest trauma or injury to the nail. Human nail grows from the base at the cuticle, and that is where the injury probably occurred

Bruise, injury most: likely. However, without a high quality photo, guessing accuracy is greatly decreased. Be aware, depression, ADHD, etc. (like all diagnoses) = names for patterns of behaviors, not insight into reasons or effective/helpful treatments.
