Perhaps put more effort into looking for the problem that causes the pain instead of putting numbing gel inside of you.

Prefer different Rx: How do you define "constipation?"  A medical definition is bowel infrequency (less than one bowel movement every 3-4 days). I know of no patient who died due to bowel infrequency. On the other hand, an obstructed colon that ruptures, leaks, infarcts can be life threatening if the obstruction is not relieved.  If your obstipation is not your norm, please get checked to identify cause &amp; treatment.

: Salicylate and caine medications may be used more to reduce pain rather than to open a blocked nipple.  Warm compressed and gentle compression of the areola prior to nursing (when breast milk is filling the breast) may allow for opening of the duct.

Delay may be better: Both will act to delay climax,  the idea being to allow one to perform longer(sorry for the pun).  Lidocaine gel could potentially prevent orgasm and even anesthetize a women to the point of not enabling pleasre.  I recommend a trial, you will be the best judge.
