Is this new or not?: The amount, color, frequency of stool varies with foods, speed of emptying of the GI tract, medications ; supplements ingested, gut flora (unique for each individual), additives (like blood), subtractions (like absent bile), infection, inflammation, ; other factors.  If stool pattern has changed, is unusual for you, ; the change persists, or is accompanied by other symptoms, see your doctor.

Yellow stool: Yellow stool may be due to absence of normal amounts of bile in the intestinal tract because of stones, but it can be due to rapid transit of stool through the intestinal tract as seen with diarrhea from infection or colitis. Perhaps an antispasmodic like Bentyl (dicyclomine) may slow down loose stools. Your gastroenterologist will advise you after his work up is completed.

See baby's Dr.: It sounds like there may be more going on than just the formula. Discuss this issue with your Pediatrician and have them do a full physical exam on your baby. Make sure you keep a journal of symptoms, feedings and weight gain/loss.

Yellow: Please stop taking the tangerines for several days and see if the stool colors go back to "normal". If yes, you know not to take tangerines. If no you must see your doctor.

No: High doses of Ibuprofen can cause acute kidney failure or upper gastrointestinal bleeding. You would have black tarry , red tinged, or bloody red stools.

It is normal for: stool to be anywhere from light yellow to dark brown. Black or white stools are concerning. In the absence of other symptoms this is nothing to worry about and is normal for you and what you eat.

Yellow greasy stool: Sometimes when you eat butterfish you get orange oily stool . Oily stool usually represents malabsorption of fat so there is -high fat level ( steatorrhea)  and so can be from pancreas  ,  (bile acid decrease) gallbladder /liver issues  rarely GERD/ celiac or giardia infection, hypothyroidism or Orlistat -used for weight  loss .
