In those cases, a prescription bleaching cream called Benoquin (monobenzone) can be used to permanently get rid of skin color so that the uninvolved skin now matches the white skin caused by the disease. Changes in skin pigm: changes in skin pigmentation is often normal.However, an adrenal fland sysfuction should be ruled out. Also need to know your parents heritage and race.

Yes: This is likely combination of sun exposure as well as hormonal effect. If you are pregnant or taking birth control pills, then this will increase risk that some areas become darker. Stay in shade, use sunscreen and time out of sun will help skin to return to it's normal pigment.

Sunscreen.: Start by applying a good, broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning, whether you plan on going out in the sun or not. If you do go out in the sun, reapply sunscreen every couple of hours. Avoid any deliberate sunbathing. If you do this diligently, your skin will become light again.

Insect bites can also be the cause of a rash or a discoloration of the skin.  Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.
