Ask your doctor: Since anxiety is the reason you probably take Lexapro, should discuss your feelings and dose choices with someone who knows you well professionally, no one else.Trust your own emotions and you will be much better off

So these needs to be monitored by your physician.

Ask for alternative: If you absolutely cannot obtain a less risky combo, you need to be watchfully monitored for feeling at all dizzy, lightheaded, faint, irregular heart rhythm, shortness of breath, etc. Try to find another ssri medication without the threat. That would be my advice. Best wishes.

Bronchitis: I understand your desire to get relief from Bronchitis possibly due to symptoms of cough,  sputum , chest discomfort, shortness of breath, or fever which  have been uncomfortable.
Do not take Lexapro (escitalopram) as it is NOT for Bronchitis.

Probably OK but: escitalopram together with azithromycin can increase risk of irregular heart rhythm although a relatively rare side effect. If you have a heart condition called congenital long QT syndrome or other cardiac diseases you may be more susceptible. You stopped low dose lexapro so probably not a problem. Consult prescriber if problems occur. Best regards.

Yes: Both can cause upset stomach and diahrea.  You should take probiotic suppliments whenever you take an antibiotic, such as Azithromycin as this will greatly reduce the risk of serious diahrea. It won't help with the Lexapro (escitalopram) however.

Serious interaction: Lexapro and azithromycin have a potentially serious interaction that can cause a heart rhythm disturbance.  Call your doctor immediately to let him/her know that you are taking lexapro and have been prescribed azithromycin.

See below: Lexapro (escitalopram) is an ssri and is basically the "pure" form of citalopram.  Most common se's effects are constipation, decreased sexual drive, GI  problems, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, sweating,  decreased appetite, and disrupted sleep.  Many symptoms subside after 2 to 3 weeks. Stay on the medication for a couple of months to give it a chance to work.  Often people quit too soon!
