AML treatment: AML is treatable.  Most treatment decisions are based on genetics of the leukemia cells. Favorable genetic findings can be treated and possibly c rued with standard chemotherapy. Unfavorable genetics can be more difficult to treat. These leukemias may require chemotherapy and even bone marrow transplant. Good luck.

EVERY CASE: is DIFFERENT and many times when a disease like Leukemia recurs it does as a slightly different type. Besides that consideration COMPLICATIONS of THERAPY (eg infection) leads to untoward results.

Chonic leukemia: Chronic leukemia in general can be divided in to chronic lymphocyic leukemia (cll)  or chronic myelogenous leukemia (cml).. Boh are usually in adult. Median age a diagnosis in CML is 50 yrs; and in cll is  70 yrs. Cll accounts for 30% leukemia case -which is the most common leukemia in western countries. CML accounts for 15-20% cases. Most common presentation for both are abnormal blood test.
