Better be seen.: There is a host of possible conditions that could be causing your calf and leg pain. Without more detail it is difficult to be specific on any one of them. The most problematic condition is the possibility of a blood clot. Because of this, you really should be evaluated, and right soon. Failure to recognize and treat a clot could be catastrophic.

i have a round lump in back of my calf which is firm and does not move, it is causing me to have leg pain also what could it be?

Cyst or lipoma: The most common causes would be a sebaceous cyst or a fatty lump (lipoma). A clot in a vein or a foreign body are also possible. Unlikely but possible, a lymph node with inflammation or very rarely a cancer. I would have a surgeon remove it if you are having pain.

Possibly: Sitting Indian style could cause some irritation to nerves, muscles, and possibly circulation. Suggestion would be to move around more or sit in that style for less time and shift positions which could alleviate your complaints. Good luck

i have sharp superficial leg pain over a vein in my right calf since waking. more noticeable on rest & palpating. could it be serious?

Sounds like: Superficial thrombophlebitis. This is an inflammation of a superficial vein  which may contain a clot. This happens most often in varicose veins. Continue to use your leg and non steroidal anti-inflammatory medications may help. If there are infection signs, you may need an antibiotic. It should resolve in 7-10 days. All the best.

Sciatica: This sounds most like sciatica or  sciatic nerve symptoms.  The site of irritation could be the lower back, ls spine, or much less commonly a piriformis syndrome.  If there is irritation in the lumbar spine at the nerve root level  then it is termed a lumbar radiculopathy.

i had back pain that is now gone but i'm still having a lot of leg pain in my left leg mid calf?

Pain: At this time I do not think there is a relation between your back and leg given your back pain has resolved. However persistent mid calf pain is concerning for a DVT. I would notify your doctor.

Probably not: At your age, likely inner calf ligaments including soleus. Rest, stretch will help. Then strength program for calf.

Yes: See a GI and get checked for malabsorption or bacterial overgrowth which can lead to electrolyte disturbances such as low magnesium/ potassium or B12 deficiency.

i have been having constant leg pain. my calf, my thigh, and my lower back. at night it's the worst and i can't sleep. any ideas as to what i can do?

Sound like sciatica: You should seek an evaluation by your pcp, it could be you have you have irritation of a nerve root however being so young i doubt it.You may need to have an emg(electromyogram) that should ruleout that codition easily.

ive had on and off leg pain for about 2 months. sometimes its in the back of thigh hamstring area then i feel it in my calf its like a twinge feeling no swelling or discoloration and the pain in very mild. what could this be?

Leg pain: More than likely these are muscular symptoms, perhaps related to some degree of tightness and not characteristic of phlebitis. Lack of tenderness,leg swelling or pedal edema are all reassuring. If you still have concerns, consult your physician or a vascular surgeon for evaluation and advice.
