sometimes my legs feels wet (when it's not wet) and cold. is that normal and expected with small fiber neuropathy?

Can occur- yes: Small fiber neuropathy can result in odd feelings in the legs such as what you&#x27;re describing.  What condition have you been diagnosed with that is resulting in this type of neuropathy?  In other words, we believe that neuropathy (no matter what type) is generally caused by some other entity such as diabetes, thyroid disease, nutritional deficiencies, etc.) There are also cases where it is unknown.

Paresthesia: This sounds like what we would call a paresthesia, feeling something that is not really there or that does not correspond with what something should feel like. It is worth seeing your doctor and being evaluated further  for issues with the peripheral nerves

i went to cut right in wet grass and slipped, extending my leg and i heard a loud pop. bad?

Accepted Answer

Could be bad.: A loud pop in the knee after a sudden movement (especially a pivot or cut) raises red flags for a ligament tear and/or meniscus injury.  If you didn't have any swelling, significant pain or instability in the knee after hearing the pop, i'd worry less.  If you had swelling and pain right after the injury, see your family doctor!  good luck!

i have stitches in my leg from a minor procedure. it's been about a week now, can i get the area wet in the shower and remove the plasters?

Accepted Answer

No: No, if you are in a plaster splint and dressing, I would not take this off with out first checking with your surgeon to make sure it is ok.

would it hurt if i put ice or soak my leg with cellulitis?

Accepted Answer

Won't hurt: Probably won't hurt it -- but when you place ice on something it constricts the vessels to that area.  Problem is, when you remove the cold, and it rewarms, the vessels tend to dilate even more, and your injury may throb more, swell with increased flow.

Pinched nerve: It is possible that you have pinched a nerve or have a bulging disk in your spine that is pushing on a nerve.  If it is in you buttock it could be your sciatic nerve. If it is in the front i your leg it could be the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve.  That is related to a syndrome called meralgia parasthetica.

recently i have been feeling a cold wet sensation  on my right leg about 6 inches below  the knee. what could be causing this. ?

But not wet?: If you have the sensation of cold wetness without actually being cold / wet then it could indicate an abnormality with a nerve coming from the spine or a superficial sensory nerve.  It is definitely a weird sensation!  See your doctor for a check up to make sure your neurological exam is otherwise normal.

The question...: I would like to know if you are referring to urine, vaginal discharge or sweat? If it is urine this could be related to a UTI. If vaginal discharge then it could be a pelvic infection.If sweat, then it all depends what other symptoms you are experiencing in order to give you a final answer.  My advise is to go to the nearest urgent care center for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment as necessary

Unlikely : If there was no penetration and your sperm did not enter her it is highly unlikely.

Accepted Answer

See dermatologist: could be a contact dermatitis, insect bites. If continues to worsen or spread, see dermatologist for eval and tx. At the present, you might soak in very cold water, which might alleviate the itchiness as well as drying up the weepiness of the rash.
