See your doctor: Your doctor may need to incise and drain if it is an abscess or take a biopsy if it is a mass..  If it starts streaking red lines at the area it is infected and you will need a prescription for the antibiotics as well.

: From your description,  it appears that you likely injured the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve of the thigh.  See your doctor, and avoid tight belts and clothes around the waist.  This sensory nerve may or may not recover over the next 3-4 weeks.

: The pain seems to be worsened by weight bearing/ walking suggesting a musculoskeletal source, in no specific order and depending on actual location of the pain ( front, back, side) either left hip, spine or pelvic bone or any combination of them . Would recommend work up under your doc's guidance as imaging will likely be needed.
