?stomach ulcer: This does not sound like an orthopaedic problem.  It sounds more like an ulcer which may not have shown up on your CT.  I would see your medical doctor.  In the meantime you can take up to 40 mg of omeprazole per day to see if that helps and avoid acidic foods.

Pain: I am glad your pain is not related to your heart. However, you still have a problem Pain that is in shoulder blade area and worsened with activity associated with numbness would make me think thoracic outlet syndrome or some type of neuropathic pain at neck or shoulder.

: That is rather suggesting a musculoskeletal source (strain/ radiculopathy) following severe cough spells, other sources for the pain cannot be ruled out, they are less likely. It would be prudent to follow up in the office with your family doc for a focused exam and tests as needed.

Muscle strain: This is likely a paraspinal muscle strain or a paraspinal ligament strain. These can often be triggered by some unnoticeable event (sleeping in an awkward position, lifting and object, twisting abnormally) where a muscle and/or ligament is stressed, causing inflammation and pain. Recommend rest, ice/heat, anti-inflammatories, and light activity. Symptoms should improve over 10-14 days.

Referred from neck: Usually pain along the medial border of the scapula is referred from facet joints of the neck. I do not think the shoulder blade pain is related to late menses.

Nerve injury: I've seen suprascapular neuropathy do this, easily treated with a local steorid injection b ut has to be differentiated from pleurisy , pulmonary embolism, pneumonia, etc
