Several things: The one thing you want to make sure you don't have first is a blood clot.  Clots in deep or superficial veins can do this.  It could also be an infection.  Need to get it checked out.

Weight gain can lead to leg swelling, though one would expect both legs to swell.  If you had cellulitis in a leg, it can lead to a long standing swelling problem.  Consider use of medical compression hose, 20-30mm hg. Knee high should work.

It could be many: without visible picture of the red spot it is hard to guess
it could be an inflammed superficial vein
it could be the beginning of cellulitis
it could be from shaving if you have done that recently
my advice if it does not go away after applying warm compresser and a topical antibiotic go and see your doctor

Sarcoid vs lymphoma: Retroperitnoeal lymph nodes and uveitis remind me of sarcoidosis we should also think of lymphoma which could have infiltrated the bone marrow and caused petechiae due to low platelets i advise you to check with your physician to start looking for the cause and stop guessing

Also, strange as it is, i believe that there may be some toxic substances you are exposed to in the food you eat especially if it is full of preservatives, additives, gmos, etc. It may be worthwhile to go more organic.

Something focal vs. something generalized and not only that but we're talking about symptoms that little to nothing in common with each other.....twitching or possibly muscle fasciculations vs. swelling or edema.  The question is what is the edema or swelling due to?  Trauma, infectious dz?
