X-ray : If u have sustained a forearm fracture most times you will know it w/ deformity, crepitus ( crunching sound), and pain. Occassionally non- displaced fx.S'( esp.The ulna) can result from a blow( nightstick) and cause pain only. Ap/ and lateral x-rays will detect the fracture.Mri scans( which are not needed) but occ. Obtained by non- orthopedists may show a contusion or bone 'bruise'.Gl!

Most require ORIF: If the fractures are in the mid- shaft( mid forearm) this will require surgery( generally plating of both bones). If the fractures occurred near the wrist they can occasionally be treated non- operatively( casting). See an orthopedic surgeon. Best of luck!

About 6 weeks: Bone healing takes about 6-8 weeks for 70% healing. Full healing can take 3 months or longer. An orthopedist should be monitoring it until full healing to avoid problems such as mal union or non union.

Yes: Discuss your shoulder and wrist range of motion with your surgeon after the bone heals and the cast is removed.  Guitar playing can be leisure or seriously athletic - depends on your style.  Physical/Occupational Therapy to return to Play may be reasonable.  Practice finger movements as permitted by your surgeon, using mental imagery to enjoy the music until healed.

two plates have been installed in both the forearm bone to treat the fracture. when will my forearm regain full mobility, doctor denying physiotherapy?

Need more details: A lot will depend what else was injured besides the bone i.E muscles, tendons, ligaments. Also a lot will depend on the exact type of fracture, how old you are, and how motivated you are among other things. Therapy is a key part of many orthopedic recoveries so if you don't feel you are making adequate progress you should speak to your doctor again. Best of luck.

i have fracture in my forearm radius bone. sometimes i feel that my bone is moving inside cast but not sure is it for real or just my thought.i x ray and the bone is at right place. sir is it possible that bone can misplace in cast after 3 weeks?

: Please see your surgeon for an x-ray to determine if the bone is moving since the bone is not healed after 3 weeks and you may need further treatment. If you are not confident in your Doctor please see another for a second opinion.
