Yes, AND: Mold and food allergies have been implicated in a variety of health issues from autism spectrum disorder, depression, migraines and even cancer. Bottom line an inflamed GI tract can lead to an inflamed brain (and lungs). Try an elimination diet and see if your niece improves.

Asthma in a family: Asthma can run in families and it is an allergic condition and if you have molds it can trigger episodes of asthma, so if you have molds have them taken care of and see if your asthma and other members improves.

Perhaps: but only indirectly if the problem affects your inner ear or causing sleep deprivation.  Some antihistamines especially the older ones may also dull your brain.

Allergy to mold: It is good that you have found the source of the mold , the next step would be making the cleaning a routine.  If your allergic symptoms subside after a thorough cleaning (Clorox?), then no further evaluation needed. If the problem persists, then consult an allergist to find out if you have become allergic to the mold.

ive had a very itchy rash on the side of my right knee on & off for 2 months. weve had black mold in my house for over a year. i have allergy symptoms already. can the mold be causing this rash?

: Any thing is possible but chances of your rash being from mold are low. Get rid of the mold in yourb house and see your Md for proper diagnosis and traetment

NO: Stress and anxiety do not produce infection or allergy, although similar symptoms may occur due to somatization.  Mold, which is ubiquitous, does not generally produce any symptoms of anxiety.  If this continues you might want to consult with a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist.

Yes: Allergies  can  cause  any   symptoms   depending  on  what  is  the  target  organ  and  when  one  suffers  then  comes  anxiety  indirectly  .  Get  skin  tested  and  work  on  avoiding  the  cause.

Low risk: Black mold is problematic for people with definitive allergies to the mold but, if you're not allergic to the mold just being in the same room with the mold without disturbing the mold should not pose a health risk. There's a lot of hysteria about "black mold" perpetuated by companies that charge exorbitant prices to eradicate it...it's not a big health risk.

With high pollen counts and seasonal allergies prevalent, you may be experiencing an allergic reaction. Stay inside, rest and drink fluids. Take an antihistamine, rinse nasal passages.

Two ways: You can have an allergic reaction after exposure to mold such as in a moldy basement or the air conditioner that is moldy. The other is an actual skin test.
