Not many good answer: Excercise is helpful, as is a low fat diet.Supplements such as fish oil may help. There are unfortunately genetics conditions where the body does metabolize the fatty material well , leading to elevated levels.Medication may be a needed, last resort.

Discuss with ur MD: low cholesterol, low salt diet. avoid food that is rich in purine-like animal product. also avoid alcohol especially beer, avoid food sweetened by high fructose corn syrup, choose complex carbohydrate. drink plenty of fluids/water. I encourage you to exercise regularly. if you are overweight- you need to lose your weight. follow up with your MD and follow your MD's recommendation.- i.e medication

: Need normal values for your lab in men like you. Do your own risk assessment by finding Heart Risk Calculator online and enter all of you info (especially BP &amp; family Hx) &amp; see what your projected risk of heart attack over next 10 years. Then discuss with your Drs what is the best thing to do. Probably good to have the low CRP if that is what you mean by inflammation marker.

High LDL Cholesterol: Diet is not the only cause of elevated cholesterol.  Cholesterol is mobilized as a healing molecule, and is elevated if the body is having inflammation.  If he inflammation is in the arteries this leads to vascular disease, stroke, and heart attack. 
Decreasing sugar and processed foods helps, exercise, and anti-inflammatory herbs.  Statin drugs also lower inflammation.  Berkley cholesterol panel.
