Thigh pain: Many possible causes, most likely is the so called "ilio tibial band syndrome" due to very tight ilio tibial band.Other causes could be hip joint pathology, trochanteris bursitis, could be to compression of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve and of course bone pathology as well.Characteristics of the pain
 will guide into making a proper diagnosis.

A few things: Check w/ md, in order of frequency:
1.Tight iliotibial (it) bands: learn some stretches from internet & do them when you're warmed up or seek physical therapy.
2.Trochanteric bursitis: might need othopedist and injection especially if thigh  hurts when you roll over on it. 
3:hip or low back arthritis causing "pinching" of cartilage or nerve.
4:bone pain from weakness, osteoporosis, over-training.

Enlarging ovaries: Your pain is likely due to the stretching capsule which occurs immediately before ovulation.    It's normal most of the time but when it goes to the thigh, it is due to radiation down the nerves that go both to the pelvis and to the anterior thigh.  Some people with this also have endometriosis.   Talk to your obgyn about this.

Hip rotation/spasm: Sitting all day, it's the new american sickness.  Our bodies were simply not meant to sit.  Unfortunately for those of us that have to, that usually means that over time, we will develop pain.
You can see an osteopathic doctor (do) who practices omt, or a chiropractor who can do hip manipulation.
In addition, muscle relaxers from your doc may help.  Heat, stretching, getting up will help.  G'luck!

Medial knee pain: Hi, to be clear, you are talking about inner pain (medial) at the level of the knee, correct?  Knee pain has many etiologies, the main ones to consider when there is medial pain are:  medial meniscus tear, medial arthritis, and medial collateral ligament (MCL) sprain. Your doc will do an exam of the knee to delineate potential causes and as needed get XR and MRI.

L4-5 issue?: Failed spinal fusions, or pseudarthrosis, can be the source of hip pain, especially due to the l4-l5 level. Sometimes diagnostic injections help, and wearing a bone growth stimulator can cause the spine eventually to stabilize. Maybe add a picture to your question for further details. Thank you very much.

Meralgiaparesthetica: Common common due to compression of nerves that come ove rhte pelvic rim and can be compressed by undergarments. Usually causes a patch of pain/numbness or strange sensations on the upper thigh. Can be associated with rapid weight gain or loss.
