Wait: You concern about the cosmetic issue of burn marks is understandable, but it would be better to let nature take its course. You should be wearing a mask in public anyway and that should provide cover while allowing you time heal naturally.

Would help: A photofacial like an IPL will help reduce the redness but this is hiding a bigger problem . The redness is likely due to increased vascularity of you face due to the effect of alcohol on your liver. The laser will simply hide this but you need to get into a program to control the alcohol addiction

Normal: A laser is a  "controlled burn".  Should heal in 7-10 days.  Keep clean and don't pick at peeling skin.  Gentle soap cleaning once a day.

No: There is no such thing as permanent hair removal with lasers.  However, you will probably have a significant reduction in the amount of hairs and thickness.  Hair has growth cycles and it has to be removed in a certain cycle for the laser to work effectively. That is why doctors recommend multiple treatments with the laser.
