Latisse (bimatoprost): Latisse (bimatoprost) can make your eyelashes longer and fuller. It's applied daily with an applicator to the base of the eyelashes. Takes about 1-2 months to see about 40% thicker eyelashes. Results only last while using the product. They go back to normal 2 months after stopping the product. You have to get it from a doctor's office. Make sure to ask about the side-effects.

Difficult to do naturally: Many girls and women are wearing false eyelashes for a reason. Long eyelashes are a recessive gene in women, and dominant in men. That's why men aren't wearing false eyelashes. Lash thickeners have their own problems, having wheat protein as a constituent, and can be problematic in people with gluten, or wheat allergies. The ones with specific eyedrop formulation, can change the color of the iris if use long-term.

Depends: Many reasons-- if baby just 1-2 days old, may just take practice.  If 3-4 days old, your breasts may be so engorged w/ milk that baby cannot latch well--in this case, you can pump to make it easier for baby to latch.  After 4+ days old, most latching problems are due to technique, or a difficult shaped nipple.  See your doc or lactation consultant for help.

None really: The medication was discovered as a side effect of a topical anti-glaucoma medication.  The quantity used for lash growth of this product termed latisse, (bimatoprost) is too small to have any effect elsewhere.  Theoretically it could lower eye pressure, but that is not a bad thing.  A very sensitive eye with hazel color iris could have some darkening but this is very unlikely in the amount recommended.

Listen and feel: A good latch may take some practice for both mom and baby. Signs of a good latch: your baby's mouth covers the nipple and much of the areola, your baby's lips are everted against the breast, you can hear a rhythmic suck and swallow, you and your baby are relaxed. Signs of a poor latch: you hear clicking but not suck/swallow, you have pain that persists, your baby is fussy or squirmy.
