Don't stop: So, Lactic Acid builds up from working out - exercising.  If you stop rather than go through a cool down period - it will build up and cause pain.  You need to - if a runner - go to a slow run/jog/walk at the end of your run - to continue good blood flow and removal of the lactic acid.

Start slow & build: I would slowly begin a progressive program of aerobic exercise with minimal resistance over a 3 week period and continues with gradual increases in resistance thereafter. Don't over do it. Stay well hydrated.

No.: See the previous answer.  If you have problems with blood flow in the lower extremities there are many other things to consider, but Mg supplementation is not going to do anything.  On the other hand it won't hurt.  Try it and see what you think.

Overdoing workouts: It sounds like you did too much during your first workout. Enthusiasm is great, but you need to go slowly to start. Get some guidance from a trainer as to how to get a workout routine started, make sure you are adequately hydrated and do warm up and cool down stretching . These things should go a long way to prevent your post-workout soreness.

Valtrex (valacyclovir): It is unlikely that Valtrex (valacyclovir) is causing muscular aches.  The most common side effects are nausea, headache, vomiting, dizziness, fatigue, rash, depression, and abdominal pain.  However, it is known that Valtrex (valacyclovir) can give you joint pain.  Shingles, can give you flu like symptoms including muscle pains.  I hope you feel better soon.

Probably not: Tapeworm infections are not terribly common so from that standpoint it makes t. Solis less likely. However, it is easy enough to check with a simple stool test.

No: It isn't likely.  Shin splints are mostly the result of too much force on the shinbone’s connective tissue. While many people associate the pain in the shins with Lactic Acid buildup, the pain actually is caused by strain on the tissues in the shin. Leg pain: You will need to see a doc for that. Hopefully, there is nothing serious, but he may choose to check your circulation and nerves in your legs.
