Yes : Edema can cause it, but less likely at your age.  Probable allergy to something, or trauma due to sports or sex, or even a vaginitisie yeast infection.

: While Fordyce spots on the penis can become irritated during sex,I'm unsure if this also applies to those on the labia. A dermatologist is the specialist who deals with treating symptomatic ones. Don't pop or scrape them as that doesn't get rid of them and they may become infected.  Abstain from intercourse while they're symptomatic.

Inflammation: It is unusual that zinc oxide provoked inflammation as it is often recommended for treatment of vulval irritation. Try switching to A&amp;D cream or coconut oil.

Side effect: The medication is associated with making skin crack and thin.  There is higher association of paronychia while taking the medication. Perhaps regular use of a skin cream would help.  Aloe is another topical agent that may help lessen risk for infection.
