Thyroiditis?: Thyroid lab numbers jumping around is suspicious for thyroiditis, an autoimmune condition where the thyroid is inflamed and sometimes overactive, sometimes underactive. Many docs never test for this surprisingly common condition. If you have thryoiditis i advise taking a high enough dose of thyroid to suppress your thyroid so it becomes inactive and your immune system stops attacking it.

my lab numbers are: wbc:4.9, rbc:3.88, hgb:11.6, hct:34.5, neutrophils:79.7, lymphocytes:13.0, absolute lymphocytes:0.6  . s this anything to worry about?

no: Your oncologist will follow your labs carefully and review any necessary changes to your regimen.  If you are ongoing chemotherapy as well as the radiation she will check your labs regularly between sessions.

Huh?: If this is a school assignment, please have a talk with your teacher's supervisor.  If you are healthy and your physician has reviewed your routine labs (complete blood count, chemical profile including LDL and HDL cholesterol, and urinalysis) and isn't concerned, there is no reason whatsoever for you to know any of the exact values.

Thyroid cancer: Thyroid cancer is not revealed by hormone testing. Ultrasound and biopsy have been standard. Radio iodine scanning also can help the process..

in sep my egfr was 70 with creatinine of .88, started spiro in jan, now numbers are 49 egfr and 1.2 cr. dose cut in half, labs the same. should i worry?

Rise of creatinine: You should see a nephrologist (N) to find the cause of your acute rise of creatinine (C). It may be due to causes other than Sprio (S). Causes of acute rises of C are nephrotoxic agents and obstruction, among others. See a N to get an answer to your question. Good luck.

hsv labs done today, i know a positive test result goes by numbers so what should i look for when getting my results ?

HSV: Assume you are having antibody tests. HSV antibody tests are ordered primarily when someone is being screened for a previous exposure to HSV. Acute and convalescent HSV antibody testing may be ordered when a current infection is suspected, although the best way to show this is through viral cultures or DNA testing of specimens from lesions. When you get the results they should show normal values.

my 1st bhcg was 86, 4 days later bhcg was 177 but each one done at different lab.
does that matter when it comes to the values and doubling numbers?

why do some labs seem more concerned w/immature leukocytes than others? i have to retake my cbc because they saw 2! all my numbers normal. not sick.

Immature leukocytes: Immature leukocytes may sometime be a clue to hemotological diseases like leukemia glad to hear your numbers were normal.

i took an amh test and the result is 3.23 ng/ml (34y), which seems normal. but the reference numbers provided by the lab are 5-9, so it's marked as low. is it possible that there is such a difference with all other numbers online?

: At age "34" , an AMH of "3.23" indicates good ovarian reserve of eggs.  The cited lab parameters may be in error.  Ask your GYN physician for an explanation or a repeat test for AMH.

labs show ast 67 & alt 101.  everything else was normal.  are those numbers that high?  i am 38, no drugs or alcohol.

Liver function: AST and ALT are liver function tests, and the numbers you report are abnormal. There are several possible causes, and your doctor will likely recommend additional testing such as abdominal ultrasound and blood tests to try to establish the reason for the abnormality.
