LAB TESTIMG: It depends on the labs your doctor ordered. Check with your doctor if you need to be fasting. If you are worried about getting too much drawn on one day, ask him to give two lab orders and break up the draw.

Likely not.: If your skin is intact without any cuts or open wound, transmission of infection is less likely. Infectious agents in blood is likely to be transmitted more than urine, sputum and saliva through open wounds, mucous membranes in the mouth etc. Frequent hand washing with soap and water is a must in our job environment. Be careful next time!

i m med lab student .i suddenly grabbed tubeholder today without any tubes. but saddly without gloves.no liquid blood on it or stain .no visible blood on hand too . washed it immediately. afraid of hiv through old nailpeel or through water to them?

: This is zero risk for catching HIV. It seems you need training about laboratory safety in order to understand what kinds of exposure could be risky and those that are not. Discuss these issues and your procedures with your supervisor or other responsible colleague. Good luck.

Yes: Sounds very reasonable. Always want to proceed from the least invasive onwards as never know which 1 might work. So would start with Clomid (clomiphene) first.

Only at select labs: The two major laboratory companies--quest and labcorp have few locations in the country to run maternity testing requests. The blood samples can be drawn from vuirtually any local laboratory location, but then the samples are sent to the specific lab. So, as far as your testing need is concerned, it can be drawn anywhere and you will get the result--this u don't even need a doctor order! good luck.

LabCorp/Quest etc...: You can call the information hotline from either company to inquire about paternity testing and then arrange for the test, without the need of a doctor order. Often the blood samples can be drawn from any local lab location and the respective company will send the sample to the specific lab location to run the test.  Good luck.

cancer: For cervical cancer the pap smear remains the standard test. For ovarian carcinoma cancer antigen 125 (ca-125) is used.  Its a blood test.
