i fell hitting concrete floor hard when i did the vein in my knee puffed up, my knee felt numb. there is burning pain, bruise&swelling. what is it?

Neuroma: If this is recent, then the burning can just be from the bruising.  But if it has been a while, there is a small skin nerve around the knee that can get injured with surgery or hard falls such as this.  That would cause the burning sensation.  I would get it evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon.

I would: I would probably be checked unless it seems very minor.  An X-ray and exam can be reassuring to make sure you did not have a serious injury that needs further treatment.

Knee bruise: Could be just contusion, so ice, rest elevate  try crutches, motrin /alelve ( if not allergic). if still having pain in 2-3 days with difficulty walking  get xray ( or if you want get it sooner-today ) just to rule out patella fracture. without xray we can not tell if it is fractured.  F/u with doc/urgent care.

Bruises take about a week  to start feeling better, fractures need treatment
