i have a tiny kidney stone. i am experiencing a sharp, moderate pain in the pelvis and  pain with urination. could the kidney stone be causing this?

Urine infection: A urinary tract infection seems more likely. Having a stone makes you prone to get urine infections. A simple urine culture is diagnostic.
Kidney stones cause pain only when they are blocking flow of urine especially in the ureter which is the tube connecting the kidney to bladder. This type of pain is crampy and very severe associated with vomiting.

Mostly normal: These are all trivial imaging findings. The old stuff in your spleen probably reflects a long-ago victory over an infection with histoplasmosis. Kidney cysts are trivial and very common. The calcium stuff in your pelvis is probably phleboliths which never cause trouble. I hope the kidney stone stays in place or can be managed.

Urination pain, urge: Interstitial cystitis is the most likely explanation, but see your gyn for a clean catch urine specimen and culture.  Inflammation of the urethra will also cause burning and a urinary tract infection will cause pain in mid-pelvis, lower back.

Nephrolithiasis: Getting rid of the kidney stone will probably be the most effective means.  Go and see a urologist and have this managed appropriately.  They will also recommend medication for the pain if necessary.

lower right quad pelvic pain - intense and ongoing for 2+ weeks. have had trans-vaginal u/s, ct-scans, kidney stone tests, etc. normal. is lap needed?

Not necessarily.: Here's what the tests you've had could miss:  1. Psoas muscle spasm. This hurts like crazy in your lower quadrant. A physical therapist might help. 2. Inflammatory bowel disease. This could require a colonoscopy. Any diarrhea?  3. Endometriosis 4. Ectopic pregnancy. Any chance? You need a thorough history and physical exam. Surgery should be a last resort; it can cause more harm than good.
