Wish we could GPS it: It would be nice if we could GPS pain to its exact location but unfortunately we can't. Typically "kidney" pain is located in the mid or lower back but many times the pain you feel may be originating from a location nearby - this is called "referred pain". Any persistent pain you are having needs to be evaluated by a physician in an office setting or in the ER if it is severe.

Usually not: Pain and stress from kidney stones may effect your hormones to throw off the menstrual cycle, but that's usually not the case.  Kidney stones are within the urological system and menstrual cycles are part of the reproductive system.

Depends : If you are referring to cycle regularity, then no, kidney stones should have no effect on your cycle regularity. However, your cycle may potentially affect kidney stone pain.

Stones: You should see both your urologist and your gynecologist. I don't think stones are related to your cycle, but I may be wrong. Please let me know the outcome.

Left abdominal pain: Sometimes ovarian follicles do not rupture and grow larger, which can produce the symptoms to which you refer.  Ask your gyn provider for a pelvic ultrasound if the pain continues, to rule out ovarian cysts or abnormalities of the kidney.

If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. With irregular periods, it can be hard to guess when to test, perhaps at 2.5-3 weeks after sex.
