Kava has been: associated with cases of liver damage. Don't recommend it.  I don't  know your medical history, but the safest route in general is to discuss herbals or supplements with your doctor.

Tea: I doubt there are studies on your tea so I can not say it's safe.  Need to know ingredients.

: If you are not comfortable or unsure about the medication your Doctor prescribed then it is advisable to get a second opinion from a Psychiatrist after you have had a complete physical exam by your Primary Care Physician to rule out any underlying illness. A Clinical Psychologist can also help you with psychotherapy.

Understand: Understand that Kava is a tranquilizer/sedative: it will make you sleepy. Added to your other meds you could be dopey and accident-prone. Do not drive or work around machinery if you use it.

i threw away the ativan that the doctor gave me because it doesn't mix well with my other meds plus i don't want to get addicted,i drink tea every night for anxiety and i'm wondering which of these is the best- valerian root,kava,or chamomile?

See below.: It's great you decided to try less addictive ways to reduce your anxiety. Chamomile is probably the safest tea to help you relax. You may want to drink less if you  take aspirin or another blood thinner with it. Valerian is helpful for sleep and anxiety, but it may cause insomnia, upset stomach and irregular heart beat in some people. Kava has been linked with a few reports of liver disease.

Teas &amp; Pregnancy: It is recommended that you not drink nettle leaf, fennel, sassafras, rosemary (in large amounts), hibiscus, ephedra, licorice root, raspberry leaf,  oregano, cinnamon, anise, senna or sage tea.  Encourage you to limit caffeine intake -so if you drink white, red, yellow or green tea- try to make it decaffeinated. Ginger, lime, barley, peppermint and thyme tea are safe during pregnancy.

im currently 9 weeks prgnant. is coffee/tea okay during pregnncy? & since i'm lactose intolerant, what can i take for my baby? pls advise.

Decaf and lactofree: You can enjoy your teas and even some coffee, but i would realy stick to decaf as much as possible.  As far as being lactose intolerant (and i know from personal experience), there are many lacotse free products out there now.  You can buy lactose free milk (tastes exactly like regular milk), and can use that to make things like pudding, etc. Also, yogurt is a good addition for more dairy.

my period due on 02/06 but have pregnacy type symptoms but husband had vercectomy 2years ago but when i have a cup of tea im always sick but neg test?

Did you get a blood: serum HCG test. They are the most accurate. If you feel pregnant,you must get this test to rule it out, even though your husband had a vasectomy. Unfortunately,you can still(very rare)get pregnant after a vasectomy..
